Highlights:

Project:  New Construction of Fire Station No. 2
Client:  City of Richardson
Architect:  Ron Hobbs Architects
Note:  Slide system design in lieu of slide pole design - Silver LEED Certified

This new Richardson Fire Station No. 2 was built on the location of the old fire station, which was demolished shortly before construction began.  The fire station is a two story building, in order to incorporate a slide system (one of the few in the area), instead of the familiar slide pole design. This building is about 15,000 square feet with seven sleeping quarters, offices, a fitness room, kitchen, and living area. The structure was built to LEED standards and was certified by the Green Building Council; these standards are important for construction elements for the interior and exterior of the building.
