The Plano Aquatic Center Renovation project is a 50,000 square foot site. Demolition consisted of the original 1970 era pool, interior offices, locker rooms, lobby, mechanical pump room, and exterior splash pad. New construction consisted of the complete pour back of 4,500 sq. ft. pool and surrounding deck, recessed tanks, new mechanical, pumps, filters, miles of underground piping, and an exterior splash pad. Additional features include the exterior EIFS façade and expansion to the exterior splash pad with 20’ shade structures. The construction site was located between an elementary school and a high school; both schools were in session during construction.
