Highlights:
Project: New construction of aquatic center
Client: City of Lewisville
Architect: Kimley Horn Architects
Note: Project included 2 separate sites. Both of which were completed 6 weeks early and in time for Spring opening
Two aquatic facilities across town from each other tasked JC with precise plan- ning and management timelines.
Coordinating water flow and landscap- ing established a focal point previously lacking on the original pool layout, ef- fectively creating a new entrance for the parking areas. Buildings from each sight were designed to blend gracefully with the architecture of its surroundings while the selection of building materials connecting the structures visually with the neighborhoods created the exhilaration of an aquatic city containing a lazy river, 60 foot waterslide, splash areas, benches and much more.
The eagerly awaited combined 5,000 sq ft areas were completed ahead of schedule following a highly visible 8-month construction in the heart of the Lewisville communities. To get the job done, deliveries of materials were coordinated for both sites to ensure continuous work flow and resources.
